Hi there, my name is Andreas Moisa.

I am a professional film composer with more than 20 years of experience in the business. I am based in Leipzig, Germany (the hometown of Johann Sebastian Bach) where I live with my wife and daughter.

As a composer I have scored more than 200 projects including one of Germany's biggest prime time series SOKO Leipzig (ZDF), feature films like The Crossing, or Die unheimliche Leichtigkeit der Revolution (ARD), documentaries like Terra X (ZDF) or commercial films for clients like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Under Armour, Porsche, MAN or Krombacher — together with my composing partner Philipp Kümpel.

Being a natural sample library and soundset enthusiast I also wrote over a hundred sample library reviews for KEYS magazine Germany since 2008 — and also a variety of technical articles about composing and film music production.

"The best experience as a writer have been my interviews with Hans Zimmer (who told me about u-he’s brilliant software synth Zebra 2 - amongst a ton of other things), Ramin Djawadi (who told me that creating your own sounds is a big part of your identity as a composer), Harry Gregson-Williams (who told me that investing in good tools is investing in your future), Bear McCreary (who told me that I first need to find the tempo of a scene before composing), Sean Callery (who told me that I need to learn to let go of my music sometimes) or Eric Persing from Spectrasonics (who told me to react to what I hear while creating new sounds)."

With whatabaudio (or: what about you?) I want to share the sounds and tools that I create for my own daily scoring work with other composers and producers - you!

I hope you enjoy using these sounds as much as I enjoyed creating them!
